「ナノスピントロニクス」の創成/”Nano-Spintronics”

私たちの研究室では「電荷」と「スピン」の物性が絡み合う現象をナノの世界で巧みに実現する「ナノスピントロニクス」の創成/発展を目指します。

このために高品位な金属単結晶ナノ構造をはじめとする新物質におけるスピンの動的な振る舞いを磁界・電界・光・スピン流などを駆使して制御します。

具体的には金属の超薄膜化によるスピンの電界による制御の実現、超薄膜化した界面に生じる反対称交換相互作用(DMI)による磁気スキルミオンの生成とその電界による制御。そして、これらの現象を用いた、超高感度センサーや情報熱力学的素子を研究します。さらには、これらを組み合わせたゼロエネルギー計算機(ブラウニアン計算機)や人工知能(AI)チップの提案を目指します。

We create and develop the research field of “nano-spintronics”, in which the two possessions of an electron, “charge” and “spin”, are utilized simultaneously to actualize novel phenomena.

For this purpose, we try to control dynamic properties of spins in the new materials like high quality metallic nanostructures by using magnetic and electric field, photons, and spin-current. In concrete, we realize the electric field control of magnetism in metallic ultrathin films and create skyrmions in the ultrathin magnetic layers with interfacial antisymmetric exchange interaction (DMI). We also try to use those novel phenomena to create ultra-high sensitive field sensor and information thermodynamic devices. Finally, we integrate those devices to realize zero energy computer (Brownian computer) and AI-chips.
